It's past time for President Trump to do something about the Do Not CALL LIST. It has become a laughing stock with untold number of calls per day. I tried reporting them at first, but nothing was done about the calls and nothing has been done to date. If a person fills out to be on the list that should be all calls. Forget the political calls, charities, etc., exclusions, That should mean all calls except people with whom you have done business.

I see a lot of "free speech" advocates here. Again, the first amendment protects speech against gov't intrusion, not from private citizens who are attacking another private citizen. “Congress shall make no law...abridging freedom of speech.” I don't think this means what they think it means.

The usually-sensible Michael Hiltzik managed to get through an entire column on net neutrality without a single mention of Congress, or the implacable opposition of Rs to net neutrality, or the string of federal court decisions curtailing the FCC's jurisdiction over the internet, or the Bush Administration's decision not to have the FCC even attempt to regulate anything related to the internet. Instead, Hiltzik blames Tom Wheeler personally and makes him the only person wearing a black hat (although Hiltzik also takes a gratuitous slap at Barack Obama just for lagniappe).

Maybe if the whingeing emoprogs sit out another election the Right will have its chance to turn the country into a smoldering ruin, and it'd be all Obama's fault! Sheesh.

If the Howard County State's Attorney is too chicken to stand up to a coward like William Hoge by himself, then he should get every other State's Attorney in the state of Maryland—every prosecutor on the Eastern Seaboard—to publicly support him for shutting down Hoge's trolling.

In the alternative, he could seek employment that doesn't make him hide under his desk.
